Job Description

This position is responsible to ensure appraisal reports are delivered in accordance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP), Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD), investor and Third Federal quality control requirements. This position is responsible for creating, gathering, verifying and analysing data on residential properties. This position will utilize automated review technology to clear reports with errors and omissions. This position will review appraisals for accuracy and completeness when there is a deviation from expected norms. This position will complete desktop reviews. The position will require keeping abreast of current real estate market conditions and their effect on the real estate markets in which TFS operates. The position will be responsible for data management including collection, verification and analysis of sales, pending sales and listings, as well as maintaining other information required for the valuation process. This position will process written appeals or borrower reconsiderations of appraisal values.


  • Minimum of 3-5 years as a Licensed/Certified Appraiser

  • General understanding of loan origination, underwriting and loan servicing processes

  • Analytical thinking skills

  • Ability to multi-task, manage and prioritize multiple projects

  • Well-organized, accurate, and attentive to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter

  • Ability to interact with managers across the organization

  • Experience with Excel and Word is required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
