Job Description

This position operates a Unisys Mainframe system and Xerox Production Printer to support operations jobs and tasks. Utilizing instructions and pre-established guidelines this position: operates and monitors computer equipment to ensure that production jobs are completed without error; monitors the processing, printing, transferring and exchange of data and files between systems; and observes, reports and resolves processing issues. This position is an evening shift beginning at 3:00 PM and ending at approximately 11:00 PM., Monday through Friday. Shift coverage for every other Saturday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM is required.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of recent Mainframe Computer Operations experience.
  • Unisys systems experience and knowledge of CANDE/WFL a plus.
  • Experience with methods, practices, terminology, and procedures used in computer operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret computer processing instructions and other detailed written and verbal operating instructions.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and established schedules while following detailed instructions.
  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate and interface, on a daily basis, with business and technical associates as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment including the ability to develop/foster relationships, adjust to situations, and address the needs and concerns of users.
  • Candidate must be dependable and timely arrival is imperative.
