Job Description

Program Summary
The Thermo Fisher Scientific Information Technology Leadership Development Program (ITLDP) is designed to accelerate early career development of high potential college graduates and prepare them for upwardly mobile careers within IT at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

The program is managed by a dedicated Program Manager with oversight by the CIO and company IT leadership team.

Program Design
The program prepares participants for roles of increasing responsibility through a combination of rotational assignments, structured learning, formalized feedback, and mentoring. Program participants will have the opportunity to interact with senior IT leaders and participate in various key IT initiatives.

Program Participants have four 6-month rotation assignments during the two year program. Rotations may take place in Boston Metro Area, Pittsburgh or Carlsbad, CA. Relocation is required both during and after completion of the program.
Rotation examples include:

- Global Infrastructure Services
- Business Analysis
- Global Applications
- CIO Special Projects

Off Program
The ITLDP program affords participants an outstanding opportunity to produce results, quickly gain credibility and develop a strong company network over two years. Prior to completing the program, participants work with the Program Manager and interview for positions across the IT organization.

- Student completing Bachelors degree between December 2015 and July 2016; preferred majors: Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or other related degree
- GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Related work or internship experience; internship experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific strongly preferred
- Strong desire to develop a career as a future leader in Information Technology
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong attention to detail
- Goal oriented with a focus on results
- Energized through change agent behaviors
- Strong communication skills
- Geographic mobility required both during and after completion of the program
