Job Description

The Woda Group, Inc., a real estate
management, development and construction company based in the
Midwest, is seeking a CFO.
Our organization specializes in affordable housing programs with
particular concentration in the LIHTC program/HUD/ Rural
Development 515/Section 42.
This position is located at our corporate office in
Columbus, OH.
As a key member of the Executive Management Team, the Chief
Financial Officer ("CFO") position requires a hard-working
individual who is able to multi-task, work effectively with all
departments within the organization, and adapts to change in work
priorities. This position reports directly to the President and
General Counsel.
The following positions report to the CFO: Director of
Accounting - Development, Director of Accounting - Management, and
the Construction Controller.
The CFO will need strong organizational and communication skills
to effectively complete assigned tasks. The CFO needs to have solid
computer skills, including an intermediate level knowledge of MS
Excel, Word, Access, Viewpoint, Outlook and QuickBooks. This
individual needs to be energetic and willing to work extra hours,
sometimes at short notice and needs to be a team player. This
position has significant interaction with Development,
Construction, Management, and other affiliated companies.
The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for
planning, implementing, managing and controlling all
financial-related activities of the organization. The CFO will have
direct responsibility for accounting, finance, budgeting, treasury
management, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, investor
relationships and partnership compliance and private and
institutional financing.
The basic responsibilities of the CFO
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting
functions of the organization. The CFO will oversee cash,
investment, and asset management.
- Work with ownership and other members of the Executive
Management Team to provide financial information and data
- Provide leadership in the development and implementation for
the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic
financial objectives.
- Ensure credibility of accounting and finance group by
providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial
trends, forecasts, and financial results.
- Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and
maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with development
officers so as to identify their needs and seek full range of
business solutions.
- Provide executive management with advice on the financial
implications of business activities.
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and
consolidation and reporting to the organization.
- Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial
performance and business opportunities.
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and
ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local
regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
The CFO must have a minimum of a BS; a CPA and/ or MBA
would be preferred. The CFO must have experience working in a
senior financial-management role and partnering with executive
staff. The CFO must have significant experience in the housing tax
credit industry.
