Job Summary:


We are...

Direct-to-Consumer and International’s Digital Media team is responsible for developing digital products and revenue for ABC, ABC News, Freeform, Disney Worldwide, and ESPN. The team has been at the forefront of many of the company’s pioneering technical innovations, from being the first network to offer full episodes on iTunes in 2005 to the recent deployment of its industry-defining WATCH applications. 

Responsibilities:


A day in the life...
  • -Assist in evolving the long-term strategic planning process and annual operating plan, including building financial models and creating synthesized presentations for executive management
  • Work in close partnership with finance, analytics, and research to form hypotheses, plan out analysis, gather data and deliver well supported recommendations in a timely manner
  • Analyze business performance and build financial models (e.g., ROI analysis, pro-formas) with input from relevant departments and business leaders
  • Monitor industry trends and interpret the potential implications for the business
  • Work effectively with other executives and team members throughout Disney-ABC, as well as other groups within The Walt Disney Company

Basic Qualifications:


What you bring to the role...
  • -2+ years of experience (4+ years total) in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy (required)
  • Strong analytics and financial modeling skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build compelling/congruent PowerPoint presentations
  • Eagerness to dissect and analyze complex business relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a variety of business partners
  • Must be comfortable working both independently and as a member of a collaborative team
  • Digital Media/entertainment experience and/or passion for the space (i.e. use/engage in social media, watch television, access content on digital platforms e.g. online, mobile, etc.).

Required Education

  • Must currently be enrolled in an MBA program and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate (Dec 2018) of an MBA program.

Preferred Education

  • BA/BS with a strong GPA from a top-tier University
  • MBA from a top-tier University

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in an MBA program taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR a Dec 2018 graduate of an MBA program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship while enrolled in an MBA program
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Program Dates: The internship will start in early-June and end in mid-August with flexibility as needed based on academic calendars. Interns will work 40 hours per week and must be available Monday through Friday throughout the internship. 

Housing & Transportation: This internship is located in Burbank, CA. All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
