Job Description

Job Summary:

Now is your chance to join our talented team as a Professional Intern in any of our segments that delivers unparalleled creative content to audiences around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • The Marketing Resource Center intern will learn about and be assigned to a variety of multimedia responsibilities. They will catalog and deliver job-appropriate content to production teams.
  • They will work with recently-produced content and research events and assets, as necessary.
  • The MRC multimedia intern will work alongside Digital Asset Managers in a fast-paced advertising agency with a focus on research and asset-based technology.
  • They will assist in publishing more than 2000 new assets each month to the Resource Café site.

Basic Qualifications:

What You Bring to the Table:
  • Passion for working in a client-oriented environment.
  • Proven organization and technical skills.
  • Web savvy.
  • Knowledge of multimedia formats (video and photography), databases, web design, application training or technical documentation, a plus.
  • Strong interest in digital asset management, metadata and archives.

Preferred Qualifications:

Nice to have... 
  • Prior participation in the Disney College Program and/or working knowledge of Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort
  • Previous reporting/writing experience with a student or professional publication in print, television or online media
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish

Required Education

You are.. 
  • Graduate Student studying Library/Information Science or similar, and/or have graduated within the last 6 months.

Internship Eligibility: 

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide full work availability
  • Must provide own transportation to/from work
  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)


Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2019 through June 2019.

FL Housing: A limited amount of company-sponsored housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
