The OCS Analytics Consultant is responsible for conducting necessary research and data analysis by concisely articulating business issues, analytical approaches, and findings, and present/communicate results to HR and business leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Deliver workforce analytics that answer key strategic questions as identified by business leadership.
* Support the Workforce Analytics Lead to provide business leaders, HRBPs, Engagement Leads, and Organization Effectiveness Consultants with customized workforce analyses.
* Prepare proactive workforce analytics and benchmarking reports for HRBPs, senior business leaders, and CoE Heads on trends associated with key human capital factors.
* Synthesize findings and translate complex analytic insights into tangible, actionable insights. Prepare presentations for readouts to senior HR and business management on strategic analysis, findings and recommendations that guide them in their decision making.
* Develop predictive models and scorecards using a wide range of descriptive and inferential statistics to identify talent solutions for the business.
* Leverage advanced mathematical and statistical expertise to extract predictive knowledge that, when deployed into existing processes, will improve organizational abilities to plan for future talent needs.
* Partner with Total Rewards Center of Excellence and Finance as necessary to incorporate financial modeling dimensions on human capital costs as they relate to operating expenses.
* Partner with the Culture & Inclusion Center of Excellence Workforce Demographics and Trends Lead to develop and monitor inclusion dashboards.
* Partner with Crew Central HR Reporting Specialists to ensure a streamlined and coordinated provision of metrics and analysis to the client, develop automated approaches for common reporting requests, and ensure planned technology upgrades will meet the required reporting standards.
* Recommend improvements in the workforce analytics practice to the Workforce Analytics Lead and opportunities for improved support of consulting engagements to the Practice Development Lead.
* Collaborate with appropriate data governance stakeholders to ensure all data analyses and reporting complies with Vanguard-level guidelines for data use.


* Minimum of three years of directly related work experience in applied quantitative functions.
* Undergraduate degree in an analytically oriented field such as economics, finance, mathematics or applied social sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Graduate degree strongly preferred.
* Broad knowledge of business strategy to ask the right questions.
* In depth knowledge of statistical and predictive modelling theories and practices.
* Advanced spreadsheet and relational databases and charting/data visualization skills.
* Knowledge of HR processes and human capital topics.
* Proven teamwork capabilities.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent project management skills, including planning and organizational skills.
* Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple initiatives.
* Ability to effectively work independently and identify when to engage others.
