The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center and one of the top cancer treatment and research centers in the country. As part of the University of Maryland Medical Center, we offer innovative approaches to diagnosing and treating all types of cancer, conduct cutting-edge research to bring the latest advances in cancer treatment directly to our patients, and provide cancer screening and patient education services.

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), and in accordance with the nursing care plan, the PCT performs delegated competency validated patient care functions and applies technical skills of a limited uncomplicated nature. Duties include performing: EKG's, Tracheal suctioning, Tube feedings (NG/GT), Urinary catheter insertion, Blood draws (preferred),I.V. insertions (preferred)

What You Need to Be Successful:

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
* Maryland Nursing Assistant Certification required
* Completion of one of the following training programs: hospital based program, community college, Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Corpsmen
* Employees with work experience that provide on the job training equivalent to the above programs can be considered as a substitute to a formal PCT training program
* Minimum of one year of recent, direct patient care experience required
* Current CPR certification is required
