The Wexner Medical Center Donor Experience team collaborates with colleagues from across the medical center, health science colleges, advancement, and the University to create opportunities to engage donors and show appreciation for and impact of their giving. The Donor Experience Managers are responsible for assisting the Director and Associate Directors with developing, executing, and evaluating comprehensive donor relations programs and projects designed to inspire donors at all levels to the WMC and health science colleges. Managers have ownership of assigned projects and programs that occur on both an ongoing and/or annual basis, as well as responsibility to develop and drive individual/one-off experiences that move donors along the philanthropic continuum from engagement to donation to stewardship.

In addition to managing projects and programs for targeted and/or global donor audiences, managers are responsible for partnering with assigned development officers to develop and execute stewardship plans and activities for cultivating prospects and donors through engagement and stewardship activities. Reporting to one of two Associate Directors, the managers operate with a high degree of organization, attention to detail, critical thinking and creativity. They must have polished interpersonal skills and be capable of interacting successfully with leadership, trustees, development officers, donors, physicians, administrators and other key stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. one year of professional experience in development and stewardship activities working with major donors.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in volunteer management. Two years of experience in development/donor relations; experience working for a large university-related medical center or healthcare fundraising organization; demonstrated success in managing complex programs and projects; experience in higher education advancement, particularly major gift fundraising or stewardship.
