The Ohio State University, one of the nation's leading public universities, is seeking applications for the position of Policy Analyst in the Office of University Compliance and Integrity (OUCI). With the vision of supporting a university philosophy that values compliance and integrity, the Policy Analyst will support a centralized compliance function that is a leading model in higher education. In particular, the Policy Analyst will administer Ohio State's centralized process for approving and maintaining university-wide policies. Key objectives of the university policy process are:

* Approving, issuing, and maintaining all university-wide policies using a consistent process and format;
* Promoting transparency, communication, and collaboration across the university by requiring stakeholder consultation and feedback as policies are formulated; and
* Ensuring that policies are understandable, enforceable, consistent with applicable laws, and readily available to the entire university community.

Reporting to the Policy and Engagement Director, the Policy Analyst will help coordinate the university policy process, including implementing its governance structure, reinforcing risk mitigation, advising and collaborating with policy coordinators and policy writing teams across the university, supporting the University Policy Review Committee, cross-referencing policies to ensure alignment, and conducting careful editorial reviews of draft policies to ensure clarity, accessibility, and adherence to the university policy template and style requirements. In addition, the Policy Analyst will work to optimize protocols and procedures for drafting, approving, and communicating new and revised policies; maintain an active database and website of all university-wide policies; calendar all university policy activities; oversee work performed by student interns; and perform various other duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the university policy process.

Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; exceptional organizational, interpersonal, critical thinking, and technical/professional writing skills; ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines with minimal guidance; detail-oriented and able to analyze complex information; facility in leading teams of colleagues toward goals with clear planning and specific timeframes; ability to provide a high level of professional interaction with all levels of diverse stakeholders throughout the university; proven experience managing critical projects in a large organization; demonstrated ability to create and implement processes in a matrix reporting environment; extensive experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Desired Qualifications

Master's or other advanced degree in related field; experience in policy development, project management, process improvement, leveraging technology to communicate with large audiences, and website management.
