Job Description

The Mandel Jewish Community Center seeks applicants for a Building Maintenance position in its Facilities department.

The Building Maintenance staff member responds to requests for maintenance repair, cleaning, and support service in a professional and expedient manner. Typical duties include, but are not limited to, performs routine plumbing and electrical maintenance; recognizes facility defects and corrects them; paints and repairs equipment; removes snow during winter months; sets-up and rearranges furniture as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and two years of maintenance or housekeeping experience in a multi-service building serving the public. Candidates will have the ability to operate vertical lifts, ladders, mops, pool and carpet vacuums, snow blowers, salt spreader, and small hand tools. A valid drivers' license issued by the State of Ohio is also required. Candidates are required to pass a post offer/pre-employment fitness for duty physical examination.
