Job Description

Summary Statement: Employee will be self-motivated, and under the direction of maintenance manager to safely operate and maintain (mechanically and electrically) equipment in all departments to produce quality product right the first time. The employee should be the initiator of activities to ensure our customers are getting high quality products in an efficient manner, and should facilitate use of the team approach to seek Continuous Improvement and implement ideas. This position requires the individual to be familiar with all equipment to the point that he/she can adjust and repair as needed.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

* Support General Plant Electrical and Preventative Maintenance needs.
* Support General Plant Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance needs as required.
* Setup, Start-Up, Adjust and Operation of Equipment; Proper Shutdown, Sanitation & Changeover as required to Kraft Heinz standards and to minimize downtime.
* Troubleshoot electrical equipment, maintain and improve electrical control systems, and complete work orders.
* Communicate and coordinate with Maintenance/Production Leadership, any corrective electrical/mechanical maintenance required on assigned equipment to ensure optimum line efficiency and product quality.
* Utilizing Maintenance Windows; perform preventive maintenance inspections on all focus line equipment as assigned by the E Team Coordinator along with Packaging Coordinator to prevent and/or correct mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
* Develop and implement improvements using the Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to prevent reoccurring equipment failures.
* Maintain and troubleshoot all Packaging line equipment associated within the Department to prevent and/or correct mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
* Cross train on all lines in the Packaging department along with assisting on Processing and Facility equipment.
* Lead in establishing predictive maintenance initiatives for focused lines in the department.
* Lead in enhancement of existing equipment to improve line effectiveness.
* Lead efforts to develop / enhance PM's & troubleshooting guides as assigned by Manager/Coordinator for focused department.
* Utilize the SAP system to document activities and to enter time daily.
* Develop and maintain a good working relationship with Engineering & Maintenance, Supervisors, and line operators on all shifts.
* Recording and documentation as required by manual, computer and other systems. Ensures documentation is accurately completed using QCMS guidelines.
* Manage all supplies associated with the lines following up on excessive loss whether vendor, electronically or mechanically driven. Ensure supplies are accounted for and returned in a timely manner.
* Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment and system design through use of the team concept. Support project planning and execution.
* Communicate with other shifts, as necessary, to ensure coordination of all maintenance efforts on assigned equipment and effectively operate as part of a team.
* Support implementation of department ideas/suggestions.
* Maintain a good working relationship with all equipment operators on all shifts.
* Conduct training for other associates in area of responsibility.
* Manage spare parts and standby equipment for assigned equipment.
* Conform to Kraft Heinz's policy and procedures including, but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Lock Out/Tag Out, HACCP check points, Kraft Heinz Quality Standards, Fall Protection, Hot Work, OSHA Regulations, and all others
* Report and correct unsafe acts and conditions.
* Determine product sequencing to minimize changeover time.
* Assist with reassembly so that it meets Kraft Heinz Standards and minimizes downtime.
* Work with vendors via phone and onsite as necessary.
* Support plant Quality, high performance culture and continuous improvement programs through active participation in QRMP and plant productivity programs.
* Ensure safe work environment for self and others by complying with all safety rules, requirements, and programs, as well as making suggestions to improve safety of the facility and personnel.
* Serve as relief coordinator or operator as needed.
* Perform area housekeeping duties as necessary.
* Perform all tasks as assigned by Coordinator/Manager or duties assigned by team
* Management reserves the right, as it deems necessary to assign jobs on a temporary basis in any manner that supports efficient plant operations.

Basic or minimum Qualifications/Abilities:

* Person must be able to perform and train self/others on basic electrical and mechanical skills, mechanical repairs and overhauls, maintenance systems, computer skills, new technologies in preventive/predictive maintenance, problem solving/troubleshooting, etc. where skills are not at the required level.
* Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance.
* Must be able to maintain and operate all equipment in assigned area.
* Demonstrate successful application of problem-solving techniques, effective communication and planning.
* Must be Powered Industrial Truck licensed and follow all safety rules and procedures.
* All other duties as assigned to support efficient plant operations.
* Must be applicable to require boiler license.

Physical Requirements

* Able to walk, stand and sit for the duration of shift.
* Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead.
* Ascend/Descend stairs and ladders throughout shift.
* Lift to up to 50 pounds independently and heavier weights with assistance.
* Holds and grips objects.
* Able to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in manufacturing environment, as well as an office or classroom setting.
* Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, disassemble and reassemble equipment, operate a computer and other standard office equipment
