Job Description

Introduction

As the research and analysis division of the Economist Group, The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) helps leaders prepare for opportunity, empowering them to act with confidence when making strategic decisions. The EIU is the global standard in providing quality, actionable intelligence to the public and private sector, assessing issues that impact the marketplace for over two hundred countries.

The EIU currently has an opportunity for a Client Service Summer Intern in our New York office from May to August. In this role you will conduct research for our Japan Cost of Living Service, help sort through leads in SalesForce and other lead generation tasks.

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

* Conduct research to find competitors of our current Japanese partner for Japan Cost of Living service, including companies, relevant executives along with contact information
* Support client service team and management in renewals and upsell opportunities
* General assistance with renewals involving more administration, which could include purchase order requirement, data entry, invoice requests, etc
* Sorting through leads in SalesForce (SF) and assigning to the correct Account Manager, including Webinar attendees, White Paper downloads and trial access
* Help maintain and complete all relevant account records in (SF)

Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills for this role are:

* At least 3 years completed toward a Bachelor's degree
* Strong Microsoft office skills in power point and excel
* Knowledge of SF a plus
* Strong communication skills with exceptional command of written and spoken English, additional language skills a plus
* Commercial business acumen and understanding of basic business frameworks
* Strong team player and self-starter with a proactive resourcefulness
* Excellent people skills , with the ability to work well with people across all levels in the organization
* Ability to work independently or among teams in a fast paced team structure
