Job Description

DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

Position Overview:

The Director of Global Treasury Operations is responsible for managing the Company?s banking structure such that it supports the business today and the 2020 Vision. The role will principally ensure that best practices are adopted as the banking structure is transformed to accommodate the integration of the North American bottler as well as the rollout of treasury technology to the international business units/locations to enhance transparency, standardize processes, and improve the control environment.

Corporate bank relationship management ? partnering closely with approximately 50 bank partners to secure the appropriate banking services while managing against changing business needs and treasury operations transformation objectives such as capturing post-merger synergies, leveraging technology, and global cash visibility. Key role in influencing future state solutions for 2020 Treasury Vision by working closely with chosen vendors of Treasury Management Systems while building support for transformation of the banking structure among business partners such as GBS, Accounting, Tax and the RFCs. Partners closely with Director International Treasury to scale treasury systems globally.

This Director will be responsible for leveraging the new Treasury Management System to proactively identify and implement best practices with respect to global liquidity, pooling structures, intercompany netting practices and generally, ensuring that the banking structure supports the needs of the business and the Company?s 2020 vision. As the Company builds significant cash balances abroad, the Director has shared responsibility with International Treasury to ensure that cash is invested in accordance with policy and that the policy reflects the current environment in terms of investment vehicles, risk tolerance, and that material changes are appropriately communicated to management. The Director will formulate and present investment policy recommendations.


The Director makes decisions in relation to daily cash positioning and investing and owns the interest income impact of the BP and RE. Additionally, the Director owns the bank relationships pertaining to cash management products, services and connectivity to bank platforms.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Thought leadership Global Treasury Operations and Cash Management. Actively engages and participates in the treasury and finance community to exchange information and ensure that the Company is apprised of technical, security, and product innovation from a global perspective. Develops and shares best practices as an industry expert.

2. Lead cash operations work stream and own the vendor and relevant consultant relationships for all IT and system implementations, upgrades, and dispute resolution.

3. Formulate, implement and maintain global banking structure that ensures global cash visibility, consists of the appropriate banking services, and maximizes liquidity.

4. Execute investment strategy consistent with Investment Policy. Review investment decisions / programs recommended by Senior Treasury Analyst in relation to the Company?s cash pool, take decision and present recommendations for approvals from leadership as appropriate.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director will be a full charge manager; overseeing the staffing, development, and performance evaluation of a team of 6 professional staff. Treasury transformation will present developmental opportunities in relation to change management and possible skill set gaps as a result of introducing technology solutions.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

? Cash Management - Deep experience in cash management principles used within a multi-national corporate setting

? Investment Management. Knowledge of investment principles ? focus on short term horizon managing working capital resources inclusive of evaluating counter party risk and various investment choices pursuant to Investment Policy.

? Advanced Cash Flow Forecasting - Ability to identify and understand patterns and interconnectivity of relevant data (i.e., customers, consumer trends, marketplace information, economic information, industry trends, future business trends, soft drink and other industry information) in order to predict business performance.

? Electronic Banking Systems - understanding and experience across multiple jurisdictions. Capable of designing and supporting the banking systems required by a multinational business in respect of intercompany activity, cash concentration, and system integration

? Treasury Management System knowledge and implementation experience inclusive of working knowledge of in-house banking, netting/pooling structures, SEPA and other regulatory schemes, payment systems and international banking.

? Project management experience and strong leadership and communication skills to ensure collaboration among stakeholders, end users, vendors and banks in relation to system implementation.

RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 10 years of related treasury experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA, Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred
