FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER THE BOROUGH OF OAKMONT The Civil Service Commission of the Borough of Oakmont will conduct a testing process for Police Officer applicants. A Physical Agility Test at the Allegheny County Police Academy, 700 W. Ridge., Allison Park, PA 15101 will be the first step in this process for applicants who meet the minimum qualifications. The Commission will notify eligible applicants, in writing, of the date of the Physical Agility Test following its review of the applicants. Applications for the position may be obtained at the Oakmont Borough Office, 767 5th St., Oakmont, PA 15139, from 8:30 AM- 4:00 PM, M-F, prevailing time, or from the Boroughs website www.oakmontborough.com under Forms/Police Officer Applications. Applicants must return the application in person, present a valid Drivers License, and pay a $40.00 fee for the application. At the time of application, each applicant must: be at least 21 years of age; possess either a high school diploma or a GED; be Act 120 Certified or have successfully completed Act 120 training and eligible for certification if hired; have completed at least 60 college credits, or at least 2,080 hours of experience as a Police Officer, or completed 2 years of military service with a honorable discharge; be a U.S. citizen, and, be able to perform the essential duties of a Police Officer. Successful candidates must be willing to establish residency within 10 air miles of the Police Department at 769 5th St., Oakmont, PA 15139. Beginning compensation: $65,111.91 with an excellent benefits package, including health care. Fully completed applications must be received at the Oakmont Borough Office by 4 PM on Mon.
