Job Description

--> Automation Engineer for the Commercial Satellite Systems Iridium program located in Chandler Arizona. Assist the team with beginner level experience in LabVIEW for our Iridium project. We are seeking a candidate to support existing LabView tools and leverage LabView for new tools. This entry-level position requires the ability to learn automation development (LabView), integration, test, and deployment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will identify, analyze and document requirements for both classified and unclassified network transport technologies and services (e.g., voice, video, data, wireless, cable, wire) based on customer goals, objectives, cost and security constraints, to provide input into the design process.

Prior knowledge of the Iridium networks or organization is definitely a plus.

If the candidate has knowledge, skill sets or experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (such as Wireshark, OPNET ACElive & ITGuru) this is also a plus.

Experience in Network Management Systems (HP, NeuralStar or Solarwinds NPM/NCM) or NAS/SAN technologies (NetApp, Sun, or Gigastore).

Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.

Must be responsible to work independently / solo at times on large in the field projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other network engineers.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
