--> POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Boeing Company has tremendous career development opportunities for highly motivated recent graduates to join their team as Software Engineers at their Huntington Beach, CA office where we are designing and building the future through network integration, intelligence, security and surveillance systems, information solutions, communications architectures, and space systems for government, commercial, and civilian applications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

At Boeing, Software Engineers develop requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for our product lines.

Software development will include integration of software components into a fully functional software system.

Candidates selected for these positions will utilize modern object oriented computer programming techniques and agile programming methodologies.

The successful candidate may work on projects using some of the following technologies, tools and languages:

Service Oriented Architectures, GUI development, metadata extraction and analysis, protocol processing, desktop application frameworks, Enterprise middleware, Perl, Python, C++, C#, Java, AJAX, FORTRAN, relational or other databases, SQL, MYSQL, Unix, Linux, Windows, XML technologies, JavaScript, HTML/XML, shell scripts, Spring, Slate, MATLAB and configuration management tools.

Skills and experience in those and real-time operating systems such as VxWorks and Green Hill Integrity, DO-178B/C, understanding of firewalls, protocols, secure sockets communication, public key certificates, certification authorities, Message Passing Interface (MPI), High Performance Computing (HPC), Portable Batch System (PBS), federated identity and encryption are desirable.

Applicants must possess a solid foundation in computer science and have a genuine interest in software programming to solve challenging problems.

Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills are required.

Applicants must list cumulative grade point average (GPA) clearly on their resume to be considered.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Strong collaborative skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
We are seeking applicants who have graduated in the past 1-2 years or are currently at a college or university studying Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

An ability to obtain an interim and final clearance (post-start) is required for this position - US Citizenship Required or equivalent (Refer to Security Clearance Definitions link above).

Applicants who currently possess a security clearance should include level, investigation type, and investigation date on
their resumes.
Travel may be required.
