Job Description

Entry-level hardware/systems engineer for the Missile Defense Command Control Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program located in North Colorado Springs, Colorado. Excellent written and oral communications skills required. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Able to implement engineering plans within a project. Successful candidate will possess knowledge of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, systems and hardware engineering concepts, principles, and techniques.

Responsibilities include analysis of hardware performance characteristics and comparison against requirements; performing comparative data analysis; preparation and review of site drawings and plans; review of the content and details of technical products; and acting as a technical interface to Missile Defense National Team (MDNT) working level counterparts. Successful candidate will be a member of a focused team, who will interface with peer-level team members and NT management to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available. This position will also require the ability to work with a team in person and remotely. Some travel required. RCB reference 14-079 & 80

Qualifications
Required skill areas include analysis of COTS hardware requirements and performance (heat, power cycles, and rack layouts), preparation and review of diagrams and technical drawings.

Typical Educ/Expr:

Level 1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.

This position requires an active (or the ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
