Job Description

Position Description

The entry-level Systems Engineer will join Rotorcraft Support (RCS) as a member of the Product Management and Integration team. The Systems Engineer will be a member of the proposal team for the United States Government and International Apache and Little Bird programs. The Systems Engineer will review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Boeing's proposed aircraft configuration to identify impacts to the support elements. The Systems Engineer will provide technical support throughout the proposal process and will support the proposal team with technical responses and customer technical inquiries. Based on proposed aircraft configuration, the Systems Engineer will plan for material requirements. As a member of the RCS Product Management and Integration team, the Systems Engineer will also develop an understanding of the acquire business process and the Department of Defense elements of Integrated Product Support. After contract award, the team member will provide support to transitioning the proposal to execution and will provide support to mitigation of technical risks, issues, and opportunities.

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Assists with analyses to evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Assists with various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Assists with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

Basic knowledge of risk criteria and prevention strategies.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Have you earned or will you receive a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry by August 2014?

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
