Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Entry level position as a Quality Engineer supporting all phases of space system manufacturing, test and operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
* Performs analysis and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
* Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
* Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
* Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualification:

Experience or coursework in Electrical Engineering or Quality Assurance.

An understanding of Electronic Manufacturing process.

Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Requires strong technical and analytical background coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving ever-changing environment. Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet company needs. Requires the ability to work variable shifts, extended hours, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science Degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry or equivalent aerospace Quality Engineering experience. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

ASQ and Black Belt certifications are a plus.
