--> POSITION OVERVIEW:

Boeing is seeking Entry Level Real-time Embedded Software Engineers with an active Secret Clearance
These position resides within the Integrated Systems area, under the Mission Solutions business area; part of the Huntington Beach Phantom Works division in support of a major Missile Defense Agency contract

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will assist with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems in addition to real time software simulations and software development under direction of technical lead. Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Supports software project management and software supplier management functions. Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics. Performs software research and trade studies. Integrates and compiles software components into builds. Tests complex component level software in the target environment. Performs troubleshooting of defects. Works under general supervision. Qualifications

This position requires an active (or the ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Position requires a current Secret Clearance

Applicants MUST include their security clearance level, investigation type and investigation date clearly on their resume.

General knowledge of software programming languages & databases and the ability to apply experience and knowledge to the software domain.
Programming languages to encompass, higher order languages, auto-coded languages and assembly languages.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

ANSI C, Auto-coding Agile software development.
Access on-site lab and staff to provide deep understanding of existing capabilities. General knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies. Ability to synthesize software architectures and designs that meet requirements, characteristics and constraints. This position requires excellent interpersonal and organization skills in conjunction with excellent written and oral communication capabilities. Works effectively and cooperatively with fellow employees, peers from other teams and/or parts of the organization and occasionally external customers. Generally identifies assumptions in the way problems or situations of moderate scope and complexity are defined or presented. Sees alternative ways to view or define problems; is not constrained by the thoughts or approaches of work group members or inter-organizational employees. Typical Education & Experience:
Level 2:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
