Job Description & Responsibilities:

The Tax Analyst/Associate will provide domestic and international tax compliance and reporting support for Blackstone's Real Estate Funds. This individual will help implement best practices for compliance and reporting as they relate to the real estate business as well as:

* Performing and reviewing tax allocations of partnership income.
* Performing and reviewing tax provisions for blocker corporations.
* Compiling and reviewing tax data for federal and multi-state tax return preparation (both partnership and corporations), and review of K-1s, federal and state tax returns.
* Identifying and performing/reviewing states withholding tax requirements relating to states income allocation to nonresident recipients.
* Reviewing tax procedures at domestic and international portfolio companies.
* Responding to tax authority requests.
* Researching domestic and foreign tax reporting issues.
* Responding to Limited Partners' tax inquiries.
* Identifying and performing/reviewing the U.S. withholding tax requirements relating to the U.S. source income allocations to foreign recipients.
* Coordinating with financial reporting and tax advisors to ensure proper accounting of transactions.
* FATCA compliance.

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors as well as:

* 2-4 years of Big 4 tax experience in the alternative asset management industry (Real Estate or Investment Partnership preferred).
* Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field.
* Partnership tax experience preferred.
* CPA or graduate degree preferred.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data to drive decision-making.
* Ability to produce timely and accurate records, with an emphasis on the importance of supporting work paper documentation.
* Team player.
* Effective verbal and written communicator.
* Highly organized and proactive.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic culture.
* Personal and professional integrity of the highest order.
* Strong work ethic, responsiveness and passion for customer service and quality.
