Job Description

The Aerospace Corporation has provided independent technical and scientific research, development, and advisory services to national security space programs since 1960. We operate a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) for the United States Air Force and the National Reconnaissance Office and support all national security space programs. Duties for this position: Engineering Intern

  • Participate in the development of digital communication and navigation system proof of concept and test bed systems.
  • Analysis of signal processing performance using Matlab, Python, or similar simulation environments.
  • Prototype of cutting edge real-time systems for emulation and proof of concept.
  • Research pertaining to advanced signal processing,GPS technology and/or reconfigurable communication processing
  • Activities include analysis, simulation, design, and evaluation of signal processing algorithms and equipment, as well as laboratory testing, system-level RF design and associated data-acquisition software development.
  • Work will involve close contact with the department technical staff

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering , Computer Science or related discipline is required.
  • Progression towards a Graduate school degree ( MS or Ph.D )
  • Laboratory experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional academic background and programming experience in C/C++, VHDL, Python and/or Matlab are desired.
  • Candidate must also have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preference is given to candidates with achievements in one or more of the following areas:
    • Digital design, FPGA design, radio electronics, laboratory software development, signal processing algorithms development and implementation.
