Job Description

The Aerospace Corporation has provided independent technical and scientific research, development, and advisory services to national security space programs since 1960. We operate a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) for the United States Air Force and the National Reconnaissance Office and support all national security space programs. We also apply more than 50 years of experience with space systems to projects for civil agencies like NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, commercial companies, universities, and international organizations in the national interest.

The duties of this position may include any of the following:

  • Provide varied software and general computer support to department engineering staff with an emphasis on programming skills.
  • Assist in technical problem solutions, software and computer support.
  • Assist engineering staff in developing and updating software applications.
  • Work with various user interfaces, programming languages and/or web-based applications in support of customer programs.

? Must currently be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.

? Basic knowledge of computers, programming, web, desktop applications, and Windows operating systems is desired.

? Must have good interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.

? Must be able to work on multiple tasks effectively, independently and in a team environment.

? Other desired attributes include the following: organization skills, problem-solving ability, cooperativeness, initiative, and decision-making ability
