Position Overview

Bell Helicopter is seeking entry-level engineers to join a dynamic team that is leading the future of vertical lift. We are seeking engineers that strive daily for innovation and settle for nothing less than excellence who are interested in Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI). As a member of the FTI team you will develop leadership skills, learn instrumentation engineering and the interworking of big business. You will participate in a mentoring/training program to ensure successful career development as you lead your assigned team to bring exciting cutting edge products to market.

Although this position emphasizes instrumentation, you will be exposed to much more within the flight test organization and beyond. This position offers an exciting hands-on entry point into the world of leading edge vertical flight as you interact directly with the aircraft.

Responsibilities :
- Safety above all and uphold the Textron Behaviors
- Participate in technical on-the-job learning under a mentor program.
- Take formal training to develop engineering and leadership skills and apply to real world.
- Serve as a good role model to others and represent the department.
- Work with various internal engineering customers to develop requirements and design an instrumentation system to match.
- Develop a program execution plan with associated schedule and metric tracking.
- Provide engineering direction in the form of leadership to team members (accountability).
- Host/coordinate technical meetings .
- Make decisions based on solicited feedback.
- Develop your understanding of flight technology; design engineering; stress and fatigue analysis; aerodynamics analysis; flight test engineering and other engineering related activities to develop yourself into well-rounded engineer.
- Work regularly with engineering management.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

Position Requirements
- Proficient with AutoCAD, DraftSight or equivalent for creating, modifying or updating electrical drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
- Good written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team organization.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and track a variety of assignments.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
- Able to support short term (up to two months at a time) offsite assignments at other locations if needed.
- Able to obtain a secret clearance

- Read and speak English fluently
- Articulate work requirements properly though both written and verbal communications
- Meet program objectives, scheduled milestones and completion dates
- Organize hardware and provide good inventory control and documentation.
