Job Description

Performs engineering work in planning, design and execution of the designs for new and existing test instrument products, tools,other mechanically functioning equipment, software products or applications to be used in conjunction with electronic test instruments.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports to an engineering lead. In addition, the incumbent must work closely with product managers, other engineers, manufacturing representatives and vendors in development and application.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Carries out engineering assignments associated with research, design, development, sourcing and manufacture of parts and components associated with the engineering project. This work may utilize Greenlee's world-wide supplier base in support of new or ongoing projects.

2. Schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications.

3. Evaluates progress and results and may recommend changes in procedures.

4. Develop digital and analog circuit solutions to achieve product requirements

5. May have limited latitude for unreviewed action or decision relative to the project.

6. Performs all duties within the Textron Business Conduct Guidelines.
A Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering is required.

The position requires several of the following: the ability to create firmware/software, perform circuit design, schematic capture and PCB layout, data analysis skills and use of test equipment.
