Job Description


The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for weekly and monthly payroll journal entries, prepare payroll account reconciliations, process labor files, manage contract labor data, and process time and labor forms.


* Use of various systems including PeopleSoft, HRBI (Human Resource Business Intelligence), EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse), SAP, Ariba, and Blackline.

* Work cross functionally with various functions across the business to ensure proper accounting transactions are being recorded.

* Additional month end closing journal entries, reporting, and reconciliations as required

* Maintains and develops personal, professional, financial and general business skills through professional education.

* Individual must be customer focused, deadline driven, team oriented, and be able to perform with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

* General background in accounting (gained from work experience and/or previous internship).

* Reviews and analyzes, as directed, operating procedures and controls to ensure they are consistent with the business processes and operating effectively.

* Other miscellaneous payroll responsibilities and reporting.


* Bachelor's degree Accounting or related field required

* Relative accounting experience is preferred


* Strong written and verbal communication

* Strong analytical skills

* Attention to detail, goal oriented

* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time sensitive responsibilities

* Highly motivated

* Ability to work in team environment

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and SAP/EDW preferred

* Must be customer focused
