Job Description

Job Summary:

Our Environmental Health and Safety internship provides students with real world assignments that bring value to the business. Candidates will be provided the opportunity to develop EHS skills in a competitive manufacturing environment as well as acquire leadership skills and cross-functional process knowledge about the business. The intern will analyze environmental, health, and safety regulations/permits at the local, state, and federal levels that impact Lycoming's operations and be given opportunities to execute projects that will assist in complying with these regulations. Selected candidates have the opportunity to experience professional growth in a challenging environment and establish a network of peers and mentors within Lycoming Engines and across Textron.

Education:

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an accredited industrial hygiene, environmental engineering, biology, chemistry or related science degree is required.

Preferred candidates will have experience in a manufacturing facility performing EHS related activities and/or be currently enrolled and working towards an EHS degree. We will also consider industrial engineering degree candidates that have taken EHS related courses, i.e. human factors, ergonomics, etc...
