About the Job

Environmental, Safety & Health interns receive projects related to their safety & health studies that are challenging and beneficial to the facility and site personnel. Safety & health interns may work issues related to processes and/or people. Most projects will support the safety and well-being of site occupants, as well as, TI ESH standards & regulatory compliance.

Intern projects often include the following responsibilities:

* Understanding and applying regulatory requirements as they apply to the project
* Reviewing current specifications and collecting data as necessary to assess risk and/or compliance
* Incorporating regulatory requirements into specifications to ensure safety and compliance
* Developing criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment, required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes
* Conducting risk assessments and providing recommendations

* Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial hygiene, or Safety & Health-related field.
* Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA

Preferred Qualifications:

* Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft SharePoint skills are a plus.
* Exceptional organizational ability with good follow-up skills and attention to details
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
* Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
* Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
* Ability to work independently without constant supervision and with good decision making skills
