Job Description

Job Summary

This is a temporary position and is not located in the United States. Must be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar or be a holder of a VALID Residency Permit in Doha, Qatar. This position is funded by Research and Graduate Studies as part of the Chemical Engineering Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar. Generic duties include, but are not limited to: the incumbent functions as a Research Assistant in the Chemical Engineering Program at the Qatar campus.

Major/Essential Duties of Job

The incumbent performs specific duties pertaining to research activities assigned by principal investigator or project leader, and commensurate with educational background and experience. Performs technical duties in support of the Chemical Engineering program and its research, such as participating in preparation of proposals to funding agencies, installation and operation of research lab equipment, evaluation, selection and application of standard techniques of research, assist in writing manuscripts for publication in refereed journals or other technical publications, assist in preparation of technical reports, presentations and research proposals. Other duties as required.

Occasional Duties

The incumbent may be expected to assist in the supervision of any graduate research assistant or undergraduate students who are working on research related to the project and to report your research results in archival journal and conference publications, and to participate in the preparation of proposals requesting external research funding.

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
