Job Description

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Project Assistant for their Jacksonville, Florida office. The selected candidate will assist Project Managers with a variety of administrative tasks including supporting managers and employees to facilitate and execute multiple technical processes including, but not limited to, document and/or proposal layout, reporting, and formatting (including proofreading, editing, and formatting); management and maintain project files; production of client deliverables including larger reports in a timely and high-quality manner; and coordination of client office meetings including agenda preparation, invitations, taking minutes with action items, and issues the minutes as required.


Work productively with minimal supervision, such as following up on pending items on projects and corresponding with clients without direction.

Preparation/compilation of reports, databases, presentations, and other document using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other software.

Coordinate client meetings including agenda preparation, invitations, taking minutes with action items, and issues the minutes as required.

Create templates for use including an extensive MS Word report template.

Edit and proofread documents, proposals, and presentations. Print, bind, or polish documents and/or presentations as required. These could include extensive formatting and editing of large, complex project documents.

Assist Project Managers with merging, formatting, and updating reports and data.

Coordinate projects and logistical details to ensure smooth operation.

Coordinate effectively with Project Mangers to advance project requirements (to include print jobs) to ensure on-time delivery of quality products.

Assist Project Teams with reports, specifications, lists, tables, templates, procedures, and administrative process.

Establish, update, and maintain files, inventories, records, or other documents as needed.


Associates Degree in Office Administration, English, or Business. Additional courses with environmental emphasis preferred with a minimum of five years' work experience strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe/Nuance is required. Proficiency in Outlook and InDesign preferred.

Knowledge of SharePoint sites required.

Strong preference will be given to those who have worked in an environmental, engineering, consulting, or other fast-paced professional services organization.

Knowledge of CERCLA and FDEP regulations are desired.

Navy scribe experience desired.


Associates Degree (or higher) in Office Administration, English, or Business.
