SUMMARY


Asset Owner and Operator of Electrical Distribution Systems which includes managing the safe and reliable distribution of power while minimizing impact to process operations to maintain equipment. Manage department employees which include front-line supervisors, planners and hourly maintenance-craft (Electricians). Develops and executes integrated preventative, predictive and corrective work plan for plant electrical equipment & electrical distribution systems to optimize equipment reliability. Responsible for safe and effective execution of maintenance work in an environmentally compliant manner in accordance with maintenance work standards.

KEY RESULT AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Executes integrated, cost-effective plans for preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance work for assigned section. Collaborates with Operations and Maintenance Planners to effectively coordinate scheduling to minimize asset downtime. Attends and frequently chairs regularly scheduled meetings related to maintenance planning, safety, and major repairs.

2. Manages field execution of maintenance and project work plan. Communicates daily priorities and stewards actions related to backlog. Tracks progress to plan, reports performance metrics to management and resolves problems/barriers to achieving performance targets. Controls and optimizes resource (materials, personnel, contractors) deployment. Maintains visible active field presence to assure consistent and proper application of maintenance standards and compliance with safe work practices.

3. Creates a sustained focus on continuous improvement in equipment reliability through the management of mechanical integrity and risk-based inspection maintenance programs and practices.

4. Establishes, institutes, and sustains maintenance procedures to support requirements for the Manage Routine Maintenance work process. Develops and implements standard authorization system of Rules & Standing Instructions (R&SIs).

5. Manages Electrical Discipline Planning for TAR (scope development, budgets, plan, and schedule). Chairs IBEW Workmen’s and Safety Committees

6. Works extended hours, including nights and weekends, in process operations environment and during periods of inclement weather. Accesses areas of refinery requiring a use of stairs and/or ladders to inspect critical process and mechanical equipment. Responds to upset conditions during off-hours.


REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
• Engineering degree preferred. Minimum high school diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 7 years refinery, petrochemical, or manufacturing maintenance or technical (electrical engineering) experience, with a preference for previous supervisory experience.
