This position is responsible for collaborating and leading technical integration solution design sessions with business analysts, business architects, and solution architects. Formalizing and presenting technical solution recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences. Leads the design and development review process for Tesoro, with both on-shore and off-shore development teams and are aligned with IT strategies. Provides technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to members of technical staff.


  • Delivers solution enhancements and consulting services on enterprise application integrations. Leverages business acumen to deliver business process improvements through integration of systems.
  • Develops and designs solutions leveraging reusable and object oriented concepts and practices.
  • Works directly with customer on assigned requests including requirements gathering and clarification, scheduling, statuses, issues and training while informing business advocate throughout request.
  • Clarifies and translates complex customer requirements into technical design specifications for development and informs business advocate regarding deliverables for assigned requests.
  • Navigates through technology selection process to select high quality products or create high quality design to meet customer requirements and align with IT strategies.
  • Documents details of requests to ensure compliance with IT governance framework. Captures and/or updates relevant knowledge and transitions product to support.
  • Develops working relationships with operations business partners and anticipates customer needs.
  • Lead technical integration projects.


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business Administration required.
  • Minimum 8 years software development experience
  • Minimum 5 years of software engineering, programming or system analysis with several SAP modules/components required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data integration
  • Understanding of architectural principles and data integration styles
  • Understanding of various types of data models
  • Expertise in data integration tools

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of SAP technical components and integration points
  • Advanced understanding with principles of system design, configuration, customization, integration, testing, and support
  • Strong integration to and from SAP system environments
  • Understanding of integration standards for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL and integration related activities.
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Advanced experience with gap analysis and strategic roadmap/blueprint development
  • Ability to organize, motivate, and coach individuals and teams.
  • Strong presence with all levels of management and proven ability to sell a course of action
  • Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements
  • Strong ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies
  • Integration experience with SAP HANA Cloud Platform (Integration Services), SAP Process Orchestrator, SAP Process Integrator, and webMethods platform(s)
