Tennant Company is currently looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to collect and maintain the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) database for finished goods, raw material, and WIP.  This role will work closely with the supply and production teams to optimize the material flow from finished goods through the supplier as well as work with the launch and engineering teams to introduce new materials efficiently by utilizing established PFEP rules.  As a Supply Chain Analyst you will also be focused on setting up and maintaining internal consumption based systems. 



  • Implement and support lean manufacturing methods, such as Plan for Every Part (PFEP), Kanban, and Supermarkets to drive continuous improvement in material flow.

  • Manage the PFEP process for current products, new model introductions, build outs, and engineering changes.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for history and audit purposes.

  • Obtain part data from suppliers to determine lead time, packaging quantities, lot sizes, and transportation methods.

  • Determine inventory space and warehouse needs.

  • Set up and maintain pull replenishment systems.Root cause and implement corrective actions for shortages and excess material.

  • Understand material flow and pick list procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations.



  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Minimum seven years of experience in supply chain preferred.

  • APICS certification preferred



  • Thorough knowledge of production, supply chain, inventory, and planning principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures, sales order to revenue realization process, and integrated enterprise resource management systems preferred.

  • Experience working with manufacturing based technology, processes and principles, including Lean manufacturing and project management practices, and understanding of influences on costs, gross margin, quality, and delivery preferred.

  • Strong understanding of Product/Production/Process of the Operation

  • Effective usage of standard statistics

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource management system, SAP preferred.

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to define, setup and run reports

  • Procurement knowledge of supplier performance

  • Experience with Operational planning - demand capacity planning

  • Experience with Kanban and loop sizing

  • Capable of obtaining a PIT license (powered industrial truck).



  • Must regularly lift and/or moved up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

  • Regularly required to stand, use hands to grip, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms

  • Frequently required to walk, talk and hear



  • Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical parts

  • Occasionally exposed to non-toxic fumes

  • Moderate noise level



  • Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety shoes at all times.
