Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Controls is seeking an eager entry-level Software Engineer to be one our key players in our software development team. In this role, you will assist with generating and supporting applications and associated documentation, utilizing several Windows based software for our data Acquisition products.

Essential duties:

* Design, implement, document, debug and test Airborne ACMS (Aircraft Condition Monitoring System) applications for Teledyne's data acquisition units
* Design, implement and document AirFASE FAPS when such support is needed
* Collect and analyze airline supplied aircraft flight data, using PC based tools to produce tables, figures and reports
* Provide assistance and technical knowledge to Systems Engineering and provide assists the Customer Support department in developing Flight Analysis Profile/Program (FAP) as well as flight data analysis using data from an aircraft. The position would also entail some level of embedded programming in C
* Interact with customers and provide support of the acquisition and AirFASE product line
* Liaise with customers to evolve the detailed requirements
* Design, implement, test and document the analysis software
* Work closely with other software developers, both on-site and internationally
* Provide customer support as required

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S.) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
* At least zero (0) to two (2) years' of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio; Abode Acrobat
* Basic knowledge of C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, Python, or other computer programming language is strongly preferred
* Background or experience in Aerospace / Avionics Engineering strongly preferred
* Willing to provide and implement solutions in testing to reduce testing time, increase efficiency or any other options to better test products
* This position can involve up to 10% domestic and international travel
* This position may at times require long hours and weekend or holiday work as needed

Knowledge and experience of the following languages preferred:

* Windows technologies such as .NET, WPF, WCF, COM, MFC, Win32, DirectX
* Java
* XML
* Web services
* JavaScript
* Relational databases, preferably SQL Server
* Client-server (n-tier systems)
* Networking
* Version control systems

* Software integration and testing tools
