Telecommunication Systems

The Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System is a consortium of higher education institutions in Indiana focused on effective use of technology in teaching and learning. We began in 1967 as microwave-based ITFS system to provide one-way video and two-way audio to learning sites around the state. Over time we've grown to include a voice system connecting all campuses with long distance service, and statewide data network to provide internet access to the seven major public institutions and more than 30 smaller and private colleges around the state.
