Job Description

This is an entry level position.

This position does not provide sponsorship.

Defining and writing instrumentation software that provides critical measurements for embedded design products that address current and emerging digital and RF design technologies in the computer and communications industries.
Working with engineering team members and marketing to research and understand customer needs and then develop the feature set and specifications that define the new products.
Participate in the engineering design, debug and test of new algorithms and software using sampled-data techniques and timing measurement analysis is a must.


Masters or PhD, or in the process of obtaining a Masters or PhD in one of the following disciplines required: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
Higher level Math skills required (Statistics: Mean, Standard Deviation, etc.)
Training and/or experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) through an internship or class project required
Software experience with C , C & assembly language(s) required


Technical focus on the development of real-time, embedded control of hardware interfaces
Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL, MATLAB and MathCAD
Technical expertise in Digital Signal Processing knowledge: FIR IIR filters Frequency Domain vs. Time Domain, Fourier transforms, FFTs, Sample rate adjustment (decimation, interpolation, spline fits)
The ability to read electronics schematics and understand basic analog circuits is
Communications knowledge: Understanding the basics of serial data links: Unit interval, transmitter/channel/receiver, single-ended vs. differential clock recovery, Phase Locked Loops (PLL), Slicer, Eye Diagram Signal-to-Noise Ratio.
General knowledge of Engineering tools & techniques: Version control, Defect tracking, Requirements Definition and product development models (e.g. Waterfall, Agile/Scrum)
Understanding of multithreading, memory management, object oriented programming, and real time operating system concepts preferred
General knowledge of programming in Linux and Windows run-time environments
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Good technical documentation skills
