Job Description

This is an entry level position.

This position does not provide sponsorship.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to work with a team of creative and dedicated engineers who make test and measurement equipment that enables all of today's technological miracles to occur. As a software quality engineer this position will be part of a team that has produced a series of award winning, leading edge oscilloscope products. Our instruments offer the challenge of multi-processor architectures, real time data acquisition, processing and display systems at different price/performance points for our customers.

You will work with other engineers in our Beaverton site to bring next generation products to market. Our development team environment places high value on technical adaptability, versatility, and quality. As a software quality engineer, you will be expected to:

Review product requirements and software feature requirements
Participation in software design reviews
Work with other software quality engineers to develop common test tools, test suites, process improvement initiatives, etc.
Perform product testing and defect resolution verification

This is an entry level position.

Required:

Bachelors degree, or in the process of obtaining degree, in one of the following areas: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Electronics required
Experience with both Linux and Windows required
Preferred:

Familiar with object oriented designs
Good people interface, team building and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
A strong desire to develop and testing high quality software systems
Good understanding of full product development life cycle (specification through product delivery), SW design methodologies, and product test strategies required
Result oriented, self-motivated and focused on team results
Experience using Test and Measurement equipment
