Job Title: External Sales Person


Location: Wednesfield, Wolverhampton


Department: Sales & Marketing – Plate Processing Centre


Salary:  £17,228 – £31,250 + Benefits + Car

We are looking to recruit an External Sales Person based at our Plate Processing Centre in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will achieve agreed sales targets within the criteria for price and margin set out in the new business sales plan.


You will develop robust sales plans for the general market that seek to develop new business opportunities whilst developing existing accounts to their fullest potential. You will generate enquiries from new and existing accounts by cold calling and personal visits in order to identify and sell against the customer requirements maximising profit opportunities. You will also interpret customer enquiries, providing prompt quotations in order to maximise conversion rates. You will be expected to monitor the progress of supply arrangements and when necessary take remedial action to ensure orders are executed in accordance with commitments and/or advise customers of expected failure to meet those commitments, agreeing alternative arrangements in order that customer satisfaction be maximised.


Using the unrivalled processing capability of the business and the quality of the product produced, you will promote the benefits of product and play an important part of the team and business growth for the future. You will also be actively involved in your own personal development plans to maximise your performance in the role.


We are looking for a commercially driven candidate with experience in a similar role. The Role requires self- motivation, drive, enthusiasm and a good standard of education. Candidates must have strong experience of using IT systems and the ability of learning new systems and some level of industry knowledge would be an advantage.
