Job Description


T.Y. Lin International's Chicago office is seeking a Civil Engineer to assist the Project Engineer/Project Manager with plan design and production.


* Perform assignments using prescribed methods requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
* Perform calculations and analysis using engineering formulas
* Design and layout of highway plans and details
* Adjust and correlate data, research code issues, design options, and document findings
* Organize and maintain project files
* Prepare roadway design plans, profiles, and geometric layout designs
* Prepare plans, special provisions and estimates.
* Participate in field reviews and data collection, traffic studies and traffic forecasting.
* Other assignments as needed


Requires a BSCE degree and EIT. Entry level to 3 years experience. Applicable internships and/or experience working on civil design projects, specifically highway designs. Must have working knowledge of MicroStation and/or Geopak. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
