2018 Summer Internship Program- Investments, Transaction Cost Analysis

The summer intern will work alongside a Transaction Cost Analyst (TCA) analyzing equity trading data to assess the cost of execution on a pre-trade (expected) and post-trade (realized) basis for the benefit of interested parties, including clients, traders, portfolio managers, and management. The transaction cost effort plays an important part in the firm's efforts to ensure continuous improvement in portfolio implementation and trading decisions

The summer intern will have the opportunity to engage in new projects to enhance the team's knowledge and further our analysis and reporting capabilities for various audiences, potentially including portfolio modelers, transaction cost analysts, traders, portfolio managers, and management.

Assist an experienced individual with daily tasks and short term projects that address the present needs of the team.

Perform data analysis and information gathering in response to ad hoc inquiries.

To be considered for our internship program, all students must meet the following criteria:

Status: Full-time student entering senior year of college

Minimum GPA: 3.50 overall

Major: Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics or Physical Sciences


* Quantitative or analytical background
* Knowledge of investments, portfolios and quantitative analysis
* Demonstrated programming skills or aptitude; MATLAB and object oriented programming
* Junior status in college or higher with a 3.5 or higher GPA
* Intellectual curiosity and strong analytic and problem solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy coupled with sound judgment
* Ability to analyze a variety of information, to quickly draw relevant conclusions, summarize and communicate results effectively
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
* Open-minded, determined, highly ethical, and creative
