Engineer, Systems Design and Strategy


Responsible for validation and testing of new technologies, products, features, services and mobile applications on T-Mobile's Network and ensuring a successful launch. Perform feasibility analysis for validation of new technologies, products, features and services. This role is an entry-level technologist.

Essential Functions

* Device Validation: Responsible for validation of devices for key areas like Volte, Volte Roaming, LTE, and LTE-A. Responsible for tracking of bugs/ issues and supporting analysis and troubleshooting.
* Mobile Applications Development and Validation: Performs complex system and problem analysis associated with applications development.
* Test Development: Support feasibility/ analysis for validation of new technologies, products, features, and services and develop test plans. Work with device design as well as network design to formulate test strategy.
* Vendor Management/ Interface: Work with device/ network vendors on issues, log collection, analysis and troubleshooting.
* Operational support: Support the Device Design, Network Design, Network Performance, Network Validation and Marketing teams for new feature/ product launches.
* Learning and Training: Receive adequate training on wireless technologies, inter-networking and mobile applications.



Minimum Required

* Familiarity with Wireless Network Architecture, Technologies and concepts. (2 years minimum
* Familiarity with applicable Wireless industry standards. E.g. 3GPP, ITUT, ANSI, etc (2 years minimum)
* Native Application Mobile Testing experience. (2-3 years)
* Experience with iOS, Android or Windows Apps (2-3 years)
* Good problem solving skills, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
* Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to build consensus across teams. Ability to work cross functionally to resolve issues.
* Previous experience working with technologies like 5G/ LTE/ VOLTE/ IMS/ UMTS/ Wi-Fi is highly preferred
* General proficiency with MS Office, Technical Writing and Presentation Skills


Minimum Required

* Bachelor's Degree. Technical discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and communications)
