Windows Systems Support Admin I
Location: Suwanee, GA 30024
Position Type: 6 months contract to perm
Shift: 2nd (4pm - 1am Tues - Sat)
Summary:
We have a client in the Suwanee, GA area looking for a Tier I Systems Support Admin to part of their support team. Our client is a leading national provider of data center solutions and fully managed services. They are the third largest data center provider in the US and provide core data center services - Custom Data Center, Colocation, and Cloud services. They own, operate, and maintain a dozen facilities encompassing over 3.1 million square feet including more than 1.5 million square feet of raised-floor space.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
An understanding of Windows and Linux/Unix Server operating systems:
Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012
Experience with Active Directory, Exchange and other Windows Systems Administration
Understanding of various services such as DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSL and SSH
Hands on experience with VMware ESX, ESXi/vSphere, vCenter, vMotion, DRS, vCloud, and additional virtualization technologies and concepts
Effective troubleshooting and analysis of individual systems and systems in distributed, enterprise environments
Working with customers over the phone
AAS or BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other related field is preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in a NOC, Data Center, or OCC environment providing phone and online support
Virtualization Platforms - Hyper-V, Citrix XEN, VMware vSphere, vCloud
Operating systems including Windows, HPUX, etc.
Related technology certification preferred (MCSA/RHCT/SCSA/LPIC, Server+, Network+, or Security+ certification
