Job Description

Overview

The Associate Business Manager facilitates all financial aspects related to a given client or group of clients. They are responsible with partnering with Account Management team and Finance Team, to liaise between these groups, and must be a team player able to build strong partnerships with both internal and external clients. This position entails taking financial information and being able to present it so that non-financial business leaders can clearly understand it. The Associate Business Manager must also be able to understand financial requirements of both internal Finance Team and external clients, and ensure that their accounts are within financial compliance and ensure financial controls and policies are in place and are followed.

Description of Duties

* Internal and Client Relations
o Partner with Account Management team in facilitating all financial aspects related to a given client or group of clients
* Ensure that the Agency's client teams are informed of how they are tracking vs their budgets
o Work with the Account teams in order to perfect detailed client facing financial trackers that are informative and easy to view
o Initiate client conversations, when requested by Account Management when a likelihood of either an under-run or over-run of project financials seems possible
o Prepare any specific reporting requests as related to budgetary matters
o Work with Account Management to create staff plans and price projects
o Maintain Master Service Contracts and ensure that all contractual obligations are disseminated and followed

* Budgeting & Forecast
o Explain any variances in revenue results vs forecast at the client and project level
o Work with Account Management to create staff plans and price projects
* Ensure profitability targets are met
o Work with account teams to manage planned hours vs actual hours in order to recommend staffing adjustments as needed
o Assist in office staffing management by maintaining up to date staffing plans to be rolled up into office master file
o

* RFP and Scope Development
o Work with internal business development teams to develop RFP/RFI responses
• Develop project specific scopes
• Track and develop scope change estimates

* Financial Reporting
o Design and implement any client and/or product specific reporting needs
o Manage client PO's, AR, WIP, and client budgets
* Ensure that the Agency's client teams are informed of how they are tracking vs their budgets
* Prepare monthly commentary to account teams, when required

o Manage key financial points of client contracts working with Account group and Finance department

* Administrative
o Perform basic administrative duties involving data entry and effectively managing adhoc requests for assigned accounts
o Collaborate with (illing department to ensure that all invoicing and client reporting is sent to clients on schedule
* Review billing instructions/additional transfers, write-offs, and coordinate execution with Finance Team as necessary
o Cooridinate with various teams in other US and international offices on shared clients
o Work on ad hoc reporting requirements as requested by Account and Finance teams

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of four years in accounting, 2 years in related Associate Business Manager experience required

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Microsoft Excel
Proficient in advanced functions and formulas to perform VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, graphs and data capture

Paprika/Oracle
Possess advanced understanding of ERP systems, and able to quickly apply ERP knowledge to new systems

Microsoft PowerPoint
Possess basic to advanced knowledge of PowerPoint
