Diesel Mechanic levels are selected based upon the following:

1 M - Requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance.

2 M - Two (2) years of heavy equipment/mechanic related experience.  

3 M - Three (3) years of heavy equipment/mechanic related experience. 

4 M - Five (5) years of heavy equipment/mechanic related experience.  

5 M - Seven (7) years of heavy equipment/mechanic related experience.  

To supervise the daily operations of the shop maintenance area by working directly with the technicians and assuring that they have the necessary skills, training and tools to perform their job.
  1. Assists and supervises technicians, including inspection and review of work to assure quality job performance, recommends training
  2. Assist in the diagnosis and repairs of the tractor/trailer fleet
  3. Assist in the completion of all necessary tags and work orders
  4. Assist in the moving of equipment in/out of the shop and around the yard
  5. Maintains a clean and safe work area
  6. Monitors job performance
  7. Troubleshoots problems with equipment and makes judgment calls on solutions to specific problems
  8. Analyzes and supervises necessary repairs to departmental equipment
  9. Works with vendors on outside repairs and costs
  10. Maintains personnel files and timecards.
  11. Shops with eight or fewer employees, will be managed by a Foreman and additional responsibilities may apply.
  12. May perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Skills - Computer keyboarding, valid drivers license, ability to read and understand repair manuals, filling out tags and repair orders

Education - High school diploma or GED preferred

Experience -   3M - 12, 4M - 24, 5M - 36 months mechanical related experience in transportation, heavy equipment, or agriculture industry preferred. <br>

Position Location - Menasha, WI

Potential Alternate Locations: 

Job Type:  Full -Time Regular

Shift:  7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Schedule:  Monday - Friday
