Act as liaison between employee and leadership to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations in order to minimize employment related risk.

  1. Support HR leadership within their designated region/department with employee relations matters; administer and provide support in all areas of employee relations. Monitor, intake, investigate and respond to complaints as required. Build collaborative relationships with assigned departments, terminals and personnel to act as point of contact for general HR questions and inquiries.
  2. Conduct necessary Driver investigations which include fact finding from all involved parties in order to make determinations of significant importance as well as course of action required while minimizing potential employment related risk.
  3. Review Performance Counseling Reports (PCR's) submitted by leadership; make recommended edits to ensure PCRs are thorough, consistent and appropriate for each situation. Create and update PCR templates; direct leadership on use of templates and provide additional support where needed.
  4. Process no call/no show letter requests to ensure appropriate communication is provided to employees. Conduct follow up and work with leadership to ensure letters are sent and processed timely.
  5. Know and support company policies to enable effective coaching of each leader in following the discipline and discharge process and other HR related processes.
  6. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Skills Experience and knowledge of Human Resources and related HR law. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and problem-solving ability. PC skills must include Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education Bachelors degree from accredited university or college preferred.

Experience -   Minimum three to five (3-5) years of Human Resources experience, preferrably within a medium to large sized company. A bachelors degree in business or related field may substitue for the experience requirements.
