To ensure that the Driver Leader's are performing their functions and act as a liaison between drivers and Driver Leaders and Terminal Leaders

  1. Monitor and evaluate the performance of Driver Leaders and their fleets
  2. Mediate in Driver conflicts
  3. Monitor Driver Compliance issues
  4. Conduct exit interviews with Drivers leaving the company
  5. Assist Driver Leaders with planning issues
  6. Assist Terminal Leader with shift scheduling
  7. Work with other departments to assist Drivers, i.e. Payroll, Shop, Compliance
  8. Correct undesirable behavior of Driver Leaders
  9. Work with the Driver Leaders on trainer/trainee situations, including release to solo status
  10. Hires & trains personnel
  11. May perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
  12. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.

 

Skills Knowledge of company policies and procedures. Knowledge of the transportation industry, ability to manage others, ability to solve problems and work in high-pressure situations, and computer based keyboard skills. 

Education High School diploma or GED 

Experience -   Two years of Driver Leadership experience or previous management experience required. Education may substitute for required experience

Job Type:  Full -Time Regular 

Shift:  7:00 AM to 5:00 PM 

Schedule:  Monday - Friday
