About California Pacific Medical Center

California Pacific Medical Center is one of the largest private, not-for-profit, academic medical centers in California and is a Sutter Health affiliate. As a tertiary referral center, the Medical Center provides a wide variety of services, including acute, post-acute and outpatient hospital care; home care and hospice services; preventive and complementary care and health education.

Through our medical education program and our Research Institute, physicians are able to bring health care innovation to the bedside. We go beyond medical care and provide our patients with services like disease counseling, family support and wellness treatments. And we reach deep into our community to provide education, screening, and financial support in some of the city’s most underserved areas.

The Medical Center enjoys a rich history of caring for the people of San Francisco since it is comprised of the four oldest hospitals in the City. At every stage of life, California Pacific is here to provide a continuum of care for our community and to set the standard for going beyond medicine.

Our mission is to serve our community by providing high quality, cost-effective health care service in a compassionate and respectful environment, which is supported and stimulated by education and research.

The people at California Pacific Medical Center recognize that the opportunity to be of service to another human being is more than a job, it is a privilege.

We make it our responsibility to ensure that every patient is touched by people who care. People who care bring compassion, understanding, intelligence and sensitivity to the healing process. And at California Pacific Medical Center, where our patients can access leading edge technology and research, opportunities abound for a challenging career.

Together... we’re setting the standard for going beyond medicine. If you are a person who cares, join our team!
