Job Description

The Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) for Health Care, Research and Education is a not-for-profit, community-based multispecialty group practice of medicine. PAMF patients are cared for by the more than 850 physicians from the three historic medical groups affiliated with PAMF: Camino Medical Group (CMG), Palo Alto Medical Clinic (PAMC) and Santa Cruz Medical Clinic (SCMC). PAMF provides care to patients at its clinics and medical centers throughout Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties.

Under the direction of registered pharmacist, perform nondiscretionary tasks related to prescription processing. Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent; current CA pharmacy technician certification; minimum one year pharmacy technician experience; familiarity with automated drug delivery systems such as PYXIS preferred; familiarity with software based medication management programs such as INTELLIDOSE preferred; excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service, verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and understand written orders regarding the preparation of IV medications; ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
