Job Description

We're looking for some positive and energetic individuals to join us at our Hermantown, Tower and Shoreline locations. If you want to provide exceptional service and find solutions for credit union members by offering appropriate credit union products and services, we want to hear from you!

To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • 55% Receives and processes member financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
  • 10% Post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records.
  • 10% Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
  • 10% Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
  • 5% Cross-sells credit union services.
  • 5% Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering phones.

Performance Measurements:

  1. To provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members.
  2. To have no more than three unresolved monetary variances of $25.00 or more and/or a single monetary variance of $50.00 or more and/or three or more monetary variances per week regardless of amount, for several consecutive weeks.
  3. To assist members waiting in the lobby within five minutes, but acknowledge their presence as soon as possible.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience – Up to six months of similar or related experience.
  • Education – A high school education or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Interpersonal Skills – Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine manners for purposes of giving and obtaining information which may require some discussion.
  • Other skills – Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.
